UPSC Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification for UPSC: (As on 01.05.2025)
1. System Analyst –
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Computer Applications or M.Sc.
(Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT)) from a
accredited University or Institute; OR B.E. or B.Tech (Computer Engineering
or Computer Science (CS) or Computer Technology or Computer Science (CS) and
Engineering or Information Technology (IT)) from a accredited University or
Institute.
Desirable: Three years’ post qualification experience in
designing one or more programming languages viz., Dot Net(Net), JAVA SCRIPT,
XML, SQL SERVER/ statistics packages for data processing etc. in a Government
Office or Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous body or Statutory body or
in any accredited institution.

2. Deputy Controller of Explosives in PESO –
Qualification: Degree in Chemical Engineering/Technology or
Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a accredited University or Institute.
Experience: Three years’ experience in Chemical works or in
manufacturing and handling of explosives and/or in compressed gases and/or
refining of Petroleum.
Desirable: Doctorate Degree in any branch of Chemistry or Masters
Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Technology from a accredited
University/Institute.

3. Assistant Engineer (NQA)- Chemical in Directorate of
Quality Assurance (Naval), DGQA –
Qualification: Degree in Engineering in the Stream of Chemical or
(Master’s Degree in Chemistry for Degree in Chemical Engineering).
Experience: Two years of hands-on expertise in engineering
equipment production, testing, quality assurance, and control, along with
familiarity with a variety of standards and how to interpret them.
Desirable: Experience in Computer Operation for the purpose of
preparation of Technical Reports, Technical Briefs etc.

4. Assistant Engineer (Naval Quality Assurance)-
Electrical in Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval), DGQA –
Qualification: Degree in Engineering in the Stream of Electrical
or Electronics.
Experience: Two years of hands-on expertise in engineering
equipment production, testing, quality assurance, and control, along with
familiarity with a variety of standards and how to interpret them.
Desirable: Experience in Computer Operation for the purpose of
preparation of Technical Reports, Technical Briefs etc.

5. Assistant Engineer (NQA)- Mechanical in Directorate
of Quality Assurance (Naval), DGQA –
Qualification: Graduate in Engineering in the Stream of
Mechanical.
Experience: Two years practical experience in Quality Assurance/
Quality Control/ Production/ Manufacturing and testing of Engineering
Equipments including knowledge of various standards and their
interpretation.
Desirable: Experience in Computer Operation for the purpose of
preparation of Technical Reports, Technical Briefs etc.

6. Joint Assistant –
Qualification: B.Tech. or BE or B.Sc. (Engnr.) degree in
Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication or Electronics and
Communication or Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science (CS) or
Information and Communication Technology or Electrical Engineering with
Telecommunication as a special subject from a recognised University or
Institute. OR Master degree in Electronics or Computer Science (CS) or
Information Technology (IT) or Artificial Intelligence or Physics with
Electronics or Communication or Wireless or Radio subjects as specialization
from a accredited University or Institute.
Desirable: Three years’ experience in Radio Communication or
Computer Communication or Satellite Communication or Artificial Intelligence
or Internet of Things or Cyber Security from Central Government or State
Government or Union Territory or Public Sector Undertaking or Statutory or
Autonomous organisation.

7. Assistant Legislative Counsel (Hindi Branch) in
Official Languages Wing –
Qualification: (i) Master’s degree in law from a university
founded or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provincial Act, State Act,
or any other higher education institution that the Central Government deems
to be a university, or from any other institution or foreign university that
the Central Government has approved ; and (ii) Passed Secondary School
Examination or any higher examination from a recognised Board or University
or Institution through Hindi medium or had offered Hindi as a subject in
Secondary School Examination or any higher examination from a recognised
Board or University or any institution or foreign University approved by the
Central Government. OR (i) Law bachelor’s degree from a university founded or
incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provincial Act, State Act, or any
other higher education institution recognized by the Central Government as a
university, or from any other institution or foreign university that the
Central Government has approved ; and (ii) passed the secondary school exam or
any other higher exam administered in Hindi by a recognized board,
university, or institution; or had taken Hindi as a subject in the secondary
school exam or any other higher exam administered by a recognized board,
university, or institution, or by a foreign university that has been approved
by the central government.
Experience:
For LLM Degree holders: (i) Member of the State Judicial Service
for a minimum of five years; or (ii) Should have held a post in the Legal
Department of a State Government for five years; or (iii) Should have been a
Central Government servant who has had experience in Legal Affairs for five
years; or (iv) Should have been an executive or officer in a Public Sector
Undertaking or Statutory Body or Autonomous Body, who has had experience in
Legal Affairs for five years; or (v)He or she should have been a licensed
attorney with five years of experience; or (vi)should have spent five years
teaching law at an accredited school; or (vii) Should have five years
experience of translation into Hindi of statutes, statutory rules and orders
in the Central Government or State Government; or (viii) should possess five
years of experience in either state or federal statute drafting; OR
For holders with an LLB degree; (i) Must have served seven years
in the State Judicial Service; (ii) Must have served seven years in the Legal
Department of a State Government; (iii) Must have served seven years as a
Central Government employee with experience in Legal Affairs; (iv) Must have
served seven years as an executive or officer in a Public Sector Undertaking,
Statutory Body, or Autonomous Body with experience in Legal Affairs; (v) Must
have been a licensed attorney with five years of experience in the field;
(vi) Must have taught law for five years in an accredited institution; (vii)
Must have five years of experience translating laws, rules, and orders into
Hindi for the Central Government or State Government; or (viii) Must have
five years of experience drafting laws for the Central Government or State
Government; Note: The expression “Qualified Legal Practitioner” means a
person who is an advocate or a pleader and has practised as such for five
years in case of Masters Degree in Law or seven years in case of Bachelors
Degree in Law.
Desirable: Qualification: Bachelors degree from a recognised
University with Hindi as a subject or medium at degree level.
Experience: Five years experience of legislative drafting in Hindi in
Central or State Government.

Qualification: A Degree in Law from a accredited
