Cities Chosen Smart by the Govt. Loses its Smartness from the Public

India has launched the Smart City mission on 25.06.2015. The objective of this mission is to provide comfort beyond the thinking of the citizens. In India 100 cities have been chosen for this project and the work has been in process.

In Tamil Nadu, 11 cities have been selected for this project. They are Chennai, Coimbatore, Thanjavur, Madurai, Salem, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, Tuticorin, Vellore, Trichy and Erode. Even though this city has been selected for the smart city project, these cities have lost its smartness from the public.

Many confuse whether this project is for the benefit of the public or for the private. The renovation work which is done for the smart city project is going too slow than a Tortoise. The cities which have been chosen to be smart, are also facing more traffics and accidents than before.

Also thousands of trees have been cut off for the road expansion, but still the roads have not been expanded in most of the cities.
