🎬 About the Role
Alveum is hiring an AI Video Editor to create and edit Christian-based video content using AI video tools such as Google Flow.
In this role, you will transform ideas, scripts, and Scripture-inspired themes into polished videos that inspire, encourage, and engage audiences. You will work on video content for platforms such as YouTube and Instagram, combining creative storytelling, video editing, and AI-assisted production techniques.
💼 Key Responsibilities
- Create Christian-based video content, including faith-based Reels, Shorts, devotionals, and Scripture-inspired visuals, using AI video tools and editing software.
- Edit short-form videos, long-form videos, and campaign content with strong hooks, engaging pacing, and captions for platforms such as YouTube and Instagram.
- Add basic motion graphics, including titles, lower thirds, transitions, and simple animations.
- Clean up and mix audio using noise reduction, music synchronisation, and voice-over levelling.
- Generate AI video clips using Google Flow and other AI tools, write effective prompts, and combine AI-generated clips into finished video edits.
- Use AI-assisted tools for auto-captioning, transcription, and improving editing workflows.
- Apply basic colour correction and maintain consistent visual quality in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Follow creative briefs from the Editor Lead and Project Manager and incorporate feedback within agreed deadlines.
- Export videos in the correct formats and aspect ratios for different digital platforms.
- Organise project files, footage, and other digital assets so that the team can access them easily.
🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 0–2 years of video editing experience. Freshers with a strong portfolio are welcome.
- Working proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of Canva and CapCut for creating quick social media content.
- Basic motion graphics skills, including titles, text animation, and transitions.
- Basic audio editing and mixing skills.
- Basic knowledge of AI video creation using tools such as Google Flow, including effective prompt writing.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools and automatic caption generation.
- Good understanding of storytelling, timing, pacing, and social media trends.
- Respect for Christian values and sensitivity when creating faith-based content.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clear communication skills and a willingness to receive and implement feedback.
- Portfolio requirement: A showreel or portfolio of previous video editing work must be submitted with the application.
⭐ Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects or DaVinci Resolve.
- Understanding of YouTube and Instagram analytics and the factors that influence video performance.
- Experience in thumbnail creation or basic graphic design.
- A degree or diploma in Film, Media, or a related field. This is not mandatory.
